AT THE HEART OF OUR STORY
From the crashing waves and hidden caves to ancient tombs, forts and monasteries, the Burren UNESCO Geopark is a place apart.
Not quite as old has the hills and the rocks, but of a significant age nonetheless, the history of Irish whiskey in this region reaches back to the 13th century. Cistercian monks made whiskey at Corcomroe Abbey, a well-preserved relic a stone’s throw from the distillery.

The Ó Lochlainn clan crest represents the Irish oak growing out of The Burren’s Karst limestone and bears the motto ‘De Petre Melle’, translating as ‘honey from the rock‘. It is the perfect insignia for Burren™ Irish Whiskey Single Malt.
